We recently put up a PV system, and are in the testing and optimisation phase. This is key because set to its basic settings we don’t really optimize PV use that much.
The array is 10 x 470W Jinko’s.
Witnessed the panels actually deliver in Realtime – Kettle and Microwave being supplied around midday: 3,6kw being draw from array.
To be fair I thought we should reach higher (note the balance of a bout 400W was supplied by grid in that instance). I’m told system losses as high as 20% which roughly concurs with my older info but I thought it may be less now. 3,7kw max sofar is ok in that we can at least cover geyser, though geyser on times needs to optimized too.
Will continue to monitor an evaluate.
